On July 6th, 2000, a fountain “Life Tree” was constructed after Azat Boyarlin’s design, it received the name “Chupa-Chups” due to the alike shape. On the four sides of the fountain there are animals figures – an ox, a horse, a camel and a ram. Every figure of the animal has the head of a dragon – symbol of wisdom. The construction itself is rather of symbolic character, it reflects eternal life rotation.

Borovoye (Burabai in Kazakh language) is the name of the district occupying the northeast part of the Kokshetausky hill. It consists of a large number of lakes of all sizes, as well as the lower, densely wooded mountains. The large solid mass file of granite resulted in formation of original local microclimate with higher rainfall, lower temperature in summer time and best protection from winds. The Borovoye offers as much pleasure and relaxation as anyone can hope for. Here you may lie on the beach all day long and swim in the lake, or you may go hiking or bike riding on the smoothest roads. Or you may even do nothing more than sit back and enjoy the fresh air of the beautiful pine forests, all making it an ideal place to mix business with pleasure, if needed.

From its earliest beginnings as a training ground for teachers, UCA has been home to builders, dreamers, and visionaries, all intent on making a big impact in the world. UCA strives to lead with academic vitality, integrity, and diversity, and the university is proud to provide an education to many first-generation college students in the state.

Community

Conway has four distinct shopping districts, each of which is close to Interstate 40 and UCA:
Downtown, Conway Towne Center, Lewis Crossing and Conway Commons.

Conway’s strong community spirit, high-performing schools and colleges, family friendly recreation, and vibrant economy continue to attract visitors, residents, and businesses to the city. This quality of life has made Conway one of the top five fastest growing cities in Arkansas.

With well-maintained parks scattered throughout the city, two indoor sports centers on the east and west sides of town, and an expo center and fairgrounds, Conway’s Parks and Recreation Department has something for everyone. Students are never too far from an opportunity to explore the great outdoors, be active, or simply sit and enjoy nature.

Tourism

With its central location in The Natural State, Conway is just a short drive from some of the region’s most popular tourist towns, giving students a great excuse for a day trip or weekend getaway.

Rivers and wine flow through Northwest Arkansas and the Ozark Mountains rise high to greet the sun. The Buffalo National River gets its start here in the Ozarks, offering plenty of fishing, floating and other recreational fun. Charming mountain towns dot the area and offer uncommon shopping and dining experiences. Northwest Arkansas is a great time for everyone.

Programs

While UCA is still dedicated to training excellent teachers through the College of Education, many of its other colleges and programs have seen tremendous growth and success over the years. For instance, UCA trains hundreds of health care professionals in the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences each year. These students obtain an interprofessional education in state-of-the-art clinical settings. They often go on to practice in the state and help fill a great need for well-trained nurses, health care, and medical professionals.

UCA is also dedicated to fine and performing arts and giving students in these programs first-class artistic experiences and education. Some of the university’s most notable accomplishments in the arts include founding the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre, which is the only professional Shakespeare repertory company in the state; progressing toward All-Steinway school status; and offering acclaimed courses and terminal graduate programs one can only find at UCA, including the state’s only degree in film production.
